"Swans form socially monogamous pair bonds that last for many years, and in some cases these can last for life.Modern genetic techniques are starting to reveal that 'divorces' are more common than previously thought, as is mating with other swans outside of the social pairing, without breaking the social pair bond."
As I ran around the pond a flock of parrots flew overhead making a ton of noise. I looked up to see a white crane flying amongst them. Two of the larger species of ducks seemed to respond to their ruckus with a few reprimanding quacks.
I went to go check if the roses were blooming, don't recall seeing any. However I was distracted when I saw some people pulling something off the tree. I thought they were picking the leaves off, and I wanted to know what it was called and what they would use it for. A woman pointed out that there was green fruit on the tree, that I hadn't noticed before. She said that they weren't ripe yet, that it was a tropical plant that she didn't know the name of.
Then there's my favorite...Cats, they were all orange and white, there is one with a single black patch over its eye. There was a whole family of about 10 - 12 close to the park entrance as I exited, lounging on the grass. Maybe they had just finished eating. There is an elderly woman that comes to bring them food sometimes. There was one cat escaping from inside the bathroom I as I rounded the corner, a man was at the door, as if he'd just chased him away.
Lastly, a fly has been buzzing around me room all day, it seems that its following me around my little area. Flies get caught in webs, so maybe its also beckoning me to keep it moving.
13/11/11 - There's this tree in the garden, with this red fruit on it. I don't know what type of fruit it is. It starts off green then it turns yellow and then red. Its small, a little bigger than a cherry, with a texture which from a distance looks like mini bubble paper. Well this tree also has green flowers. It is filled with huge hairy bees, the ones with the white butt. They are so loud, and their tongues are so long. I always stop to check them out. There is a rose growing in the shadows in the garden. Its been about three weeks now, and it still hasn't opened. It looks healthy, with a very beautiful bright red color. I told it not to worry and that god loves it very much.
14/11/11 - I was looking at flowers in the park. They are such beautiful creations. I bet god likes flowers more than he likes us. There are so many different varieties, and if you study them, there are so many details that would go unnoticed at first. Some of the flowers seem to have no smell, but I speculate that they all do, and perhaps my senses are not sharp enough to detect it.
15/11/11 - I made myself a cup of tea with milk and honey. There was a fly buzzing around my cup while I sat in front of the computer screen. Then he was gone, I looked in my cup and saw it floating in my tea. I felt bad for it and scooped it out, and was surprised that it was still alive. It sat on the table by my computer drying off. Then crawled over and around my computer for about an hour. At one point I left the room and when I came back it was sitting so still on my computer that I thought it had died. I couldn't believe that I got choked up. I became sad at the thought that the fly died... I called out to it, asking it if were still alive, and then I was relieved when it responded by moving its legs... I can't help but think that perhaps I'm like an insect too, and that there's some creature much greater than me that looks out for me. As above, so below...
28/11/11 - When I came home a morning dove flew down and perched in the fig tree, the same tree that the hoopoe was caught in when there was a net placed over it. I took that as a great sign for my plans on moving and restarting my life. Its time.
